Saint Leo the Great Catholic School is seeking a full time Resource Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

Duties include:

• Create Student Assistance Plans
• Work with teachers to ensure that student accommodations are met. 
• Provide small group instruction, and individualized instruction for students with special needs 
  
• Participate in eligibility meetings and  IEP/ISP meetings
• Use research-based intervention practices
• Assist in screening new students applying for enrollment
• Help classroom teachers through observations and assessments of students recommended for referral 
• Provide recommendations to teachers for classroom strategies, accommodations to address students' needs
• Standardized testing assistance
• Facilitate meetings with teachers and parents

Ideal candidate has:

• Master's degree in special education & Virginia state licensure or the ability to obtain VCEA certification
• Experience in special education
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
