Qualified candidates must:
•be 16 years old or older
•have an interest in working with children
•have a desire to work in a Catholic school environment
•complete CPR and First Aid training
This position is ideal for a high school student, college student, or recent college graduate interested in working with children or exploring teaching as a potential career.
EDC Program hours are:
•7:00 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. in the mornings, Monday-Friday when school is in session
•3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the afternoons, Monday-Friday when school is in session
Available Positions:
We are looking to fill both morning and afternoon positions. Applicants should indicate if they would prefer to work in the morning, afternoon, or both.
Your Role:
You will be an important part of the Extended Day Care (EDC) team, and will assist with supervising children in grades K-8 (ages 5-13). You will assist the program director with EDC activities and supervision, including:
•helping to set up tables and activities for students before their arrival, and cleaning and putting away all materials at the end of the shift
•helping with snack
•supervising children during free-play and homework time
•following all program requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
•Experience working with and supervising elementary-aged children (ages 5-13)
•Ability to collaborate with the program director and assistant director
•Experience working in a youth program setting (vacation Bible school, summer camp, assisting with a summer swim program, etc.)
