St. Veronica Catholic School is seeking for a Lead School Nurse.  The primary function is to provide clinic assistance to the school community during school hours for the safety and well-being of the students.  The right candidate should be a practicing Catholic with a joyful, hardworking personality that is able to handle the daily rigors of a school-day.

An RN or LPN would be ideal, but is not a requirement. Certified Nurse's Assistants (CNA) and Medical Assistants (MA) welcome to apply. Anyone knowledgeable about and committed to the care of children can complete the necessary trainings to work in our school clinic. 

 

Areas of responsibility: Provide first aid care and health assessment; Communicate with teachers and staff to ensure the safety and well-being of students; Administer medications and monitor delegated medication administration; Educate and train staff on asthma, life-threatening allergies, diabetes, and blood-borne pathogens. Tasks include filing both diocesan and state reports; overlooking food allergies for school events; managing Lost & Found, and a variety of other administrative tasks.
