St. Thomas More Cathedral School, located in Arlington, VA, is seeking a school counselor for the 2026- 2027 school year.  This is a salaried, full-time position, 7:30am-3:30pm.  The Counselor works with students from grades Kindergarten - 8th grade, both individually and in group settings, assisting students with developing and improving their executive functioning, social, and emotional skills. The counselor also conducts mindfulness activities with students. The Counselor will hold Lunch Bunch groups with students 3 - 4 times a week and serve as a playground monitor daily. The Counselor works with teachers to schedule classroom lessons about friendships and various pertinent topics as needed. The Counselor will communicate with parents regularly and conduct meetings with parents as appropriate.

 

Ideal candidates will be practicing Catholics with a devotion for education and working with children.  St. Thomas More Cathedral School is a U. S.
