Saint James Catholic School, located in Falls Church, Virginia is seeking to fill an immediate opening for a primary grade Instructional Assistant. Interested applicants should have a deep desire to help learners thrive. Duties involve assisting the classroom teacher in daily and long term planning, working with students in small groups, attending all school continuing education and other learning opportunities, taking on the role the lead teacher when she is absent, conducting the class with the same high level of instruction during her absence, complying with all diocesan and school based policies, witnessing to the teachings of the Catholic faith through word and deed, and striving to fulfill the Saint James mission which is to educate the whole child through virtue formation, service, and academic excellence. Bachelor's degree preferred. Training in Special Education and/or Orton-Gillingham is a plus.
