Saint James Catholic School is seeking a qualified candidate for a learning resource instructional aide for the 2025/2026 academic year. Qualified candidates will have an interest in teaching students and a desire to work for a Catholic school.

 

The instructional assistant works closely with the Resource teachers to implement instructional plans; works with students in small groups or 1:1; plans with the resource teachers, and modifies curriculum for students with intellectual disabilities. 

 

Ideal candidate has:

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Comfortable providing in-class support to the teacher and students
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience as an instructional assistant or similar role preferred (not required)
• Strong computer skills 
• A desire to help students grow in faith, knowledge, and service
