Job Description:

Queen of Apostles Catholic School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Elementary Instructional Assistant to join our dynamic team. This individual will provide support to teachers and students, assisting with the delivery of high-quality instruction in a faith-centered environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting the academic, social, and spiritual development of elementary-aged children, helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Instruction: Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons in subjects such as reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, while incorporating faith-based teachings and Catholic values.
• Student Assistance: Work one-on-one or with small groups of students to reinforce learning concepts, help with assignments, and provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Classroom Management: Support the teacher in maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes respect, focus, and a love for learning.
• Faith Integration: Assist in fostering an environment where students grow in their Catholic faith through prayer, reflection, and servant leadership.
• Communication: Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other school staff to share observations and insights about students’ progress and needs.
• Supervision: Help supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities to ensure safety and promote positive behavior.
• Administrative Support: Assist with grading, preparing materials, and other administrative tasks as needed by the teacher.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher in education or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, ideally in a school or classroom setting.
• Strong commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Queen of Apostles.
• Ability to support diverse learning needs and work with students of varying abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to help students grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
