Saint Rita Catholic Preschool, located in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking candidates for a P/T Lead Teacher. Saint Rita Catholic School is PreK to 8th grade. The Lead Teacher is responsible for implementing daily, standard-based lessons in a play-based environment to support students’s learning and application of developmentally appropriate skills and concepts. The Lead Teacher is expected to engage parents and colleagues in support of the early childhood curriculum as prescribed by the Archdiocese of Arlington. Job Responsibilities: Develop and document daily lesson plans consistent with Archdiocesan curriculum guidelines.  Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.  Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times, and for classroom management. Applicants must be willing to participate in faculty meetings, collaborative planning meetings, retreats and in-service learning opportunities. Job Requirements:  Bachelors Degree, certification in early childhood education and/or classroom experience teaching the pre-primary level preferred.  Practicing Catholic.
