Job Description: FACILITIES TECHNICIAN
The Basilica School of Saint Mary, a Catholic Pre-K through eighth Parish School in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Facilities Technician. The ideal candidate is someone who has excellent general maintenance skills, self-starter, can work independently or as a team, and has excellent communication skills both written and verbal with others in a multi tasking, fast paced environment.

Monday-Friday
Weekend as needed
Position Overview:
The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing service maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting diagnostics and repairs to a commercial building. The successful candidate will have excellent working knowledge and references of the following responsibilities and tasks, including and not limited to:
- Minor Drywall repair
- Minor electrical
- Minor HVAC
- Minor plumbing
- Janitorial
- Moving furniture
- Set up / break down for events
- Be familiar with fire systems and panels
Requirements:
- Trade qualifications preferred
- Experience working in a commercial environment
- Working knowledge of general maintenance systems of multiple buildings
- 10 years working experience required
- Excellent communication skills
- Work within team environment
- Background check / drug check required
- Excellent references
- Ability to use a computer
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Valid driver license
- May be needed on weekends when needed
