Description

St. Ambrose is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our 50/50 Dual Language Immersion Program. Spanish is not required since this teacher will teach in English. However, being bilingual or knowledgeable of the Spanish language is a plus.

The English Immersion Early Childhood Teacher will work closely with Spanish Immersion educators to foster a dynamic, bilingual, and biliterate learning environment rooted in academic excellence and Catholic values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead instruction in English, ensuring students develop strong foundational literacy and academic skills.

  • Collaborate with Spanish Immersion teachers to create a cohesive and engaging learning experience.

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate, hands-on learning experiences that support young learners’ cognitive, social, spiritual, and emotional growth.

  • Foster a nurturing, faith-filled classroom environment where students feel valued, safe, and encouraged to explore and learn.

  • Assess and track student progress, using data to inform instruction and communicate effectively with families and team members.

  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Teaching certification and experience in early childhood education, particularly in preschool and kindergarten settings.
