We are in search of dynamic educators who are excited about being a part of a team that is building the only Catholic dual language Spanish immersion program in the state of Virginia. Our dual language program covers our preschool (ages 3 and 4), Kindergarten, First and Second grades. Next year, we will add the Third Grade to the program. By 2030 our entire school will be a dual language Spanish immersion school. We partner with the Boston College Roche Center to train our teachers and administrators. Teachers and staff receive professional development from Boston College. Our teachers are trained in the methods that are evidence-based for learning a second or third language. Many of our families who enroll their children want their children to be multilingual for a variety reasons including family culture, cognitive benefits, greater cultural awareness and increased opportunities for their children. Students say they like to be bilingual so they can make more friends, speak to more people, and communicate with family abroad.
