St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School is seeking a part-time Music teacher (two days per week).

Candidates must possess or be eligible for certification/licensure in Virginia or through the VCEA.

Responsibilities include: develop students' understanding and appreciation of the art of music, including exposure to a wide range of musical genre, periods and styles; develop each student's talents in vocal musical expression; follow and implement music education curriculum as developed by Arlington Diocese, Office of Catholic Schools; maintain safe classroom environment, and implement effective classroom management practices.

The successful candidate must have an understanding of music and it's presentation; coordinate rehearsals for, and directs students in musical programs and performances outside the classroom, including the Christmas Program.

The successful candidate must possess skills to organize and maintain a system for accurate and complete record-keeping and grading.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Teaching experience preferred.
